TEMP 80
This field is a temporary alphanumeric work area that can be used by any statement series. Substring manipulation of this field is provided through the use of the SET TEMP statement. This field can also be used in CANCEL, ERROR, MESSAGE, and WARNING statements to provide variable messages.
